Kathleen “Kathy” Morris, 66, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Huntington Beach, CA, April 15, 1957, to parents Robert and Anne (Winters) Larson.
Kathy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. Kathy was a hard worker and worked at Brown Shoe for many years until the company closed. She then received her associate degree in nursing and enjoyed working at the Greenville Clinic and the Greenville mobile clinic. She enjoyed watching television, she was an avid reader, and she loved popsicles. Kathy’s greatest legacy was her family. Her grandchildren were her world. Kathy was very excited to have two great-grandchildren on the way and she was looking forward to seeing them both.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother: Billy Larson: granddaughter: Samantha Morris.
Kathy is survived by her children: Jeremy “Doc” Morris of Piedmont, Angel Patten and husband Jeremy of Fort Mill, SC, Florie Tucker and husband Adam of Piedmont; daughter-in-law: Suzanne Bradshaw Morris of Piedmont; grandchildren: Emmalea Rudd, Andrew Patten, Kadence Patten, Warren Tucker, Zackary Tucker, Emily Morris, Avery Morris, David Rudd; brother: Robert Larson; sisters: Sandra “Sandy” Stoneburner of Jefferson, IA, Cindy Morgan of Springfield, Vicki Caruth and husband Vern of Melrose, IA. Kathy will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation was held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. A memorial service followed at 7:00 pm, also in Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family. Angel Patten and Lenora Bell gave heartfelt eulogies. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
