Kathryn McFadden, 71, of Higginson, AR, formerly of Piedmont, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021, in Mobile, AL. She was born in Ironton, MO, on May 23, 1949, to parents William Henry and Blanche (Ratliff) Asberry.
Kathryn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. On November 20, 1965, Kathryn married the love of her life, Kenneth Eugene McFadden, and they were blessed with four children. Kathryn and Kenneth were most always seen side by side. She enjoyed cooking, baking and cake making. Kathryn was quite a hospitable woman, and enjoyed nurturing not only her family, but her church family as well. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Bradford, AR.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Vernon, Jay, and Timothy Asberry; sisters: Alfa Smith, Ada Stats, and Ruth Schroeer.
Kathryn is survived by her loving husband of fifty-five years; children: Kevin McFadden and wife Rebecca of Gulfport, MS, Kimberly Janis and husband Doug of Searcy, AR, Kristy Harvell and husband David of Beebe, AR, Kara McFadden of Beebe, AR; grandchildren: Elizabeth McFadden, Wesley McFadden and wife Katye, A1C K. Eugene McFadden, Benjamin, Matthew, Jonathan, Stephen, Nathaniel and Julianna McFadden, Sara Bernard and husband Ben, Katelynn Webster and husband Josiah, Austin Harvell, Chad and Cody McFadden; great-grandchildren: Oliver and Wesley, Seonna and Evanne Bernard, Ariana Lou Webster; brother; Anthony Asberry; sisters: Mable DeSpain, and Melba Hartley; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Kathryn will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation was held at 9:00 am, Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Victory Baptist Church, Piedmont. Funeral service followws at 11:00 am, also at Victory Baptist Church. Bro. Kenneth McFadden and Bro. Seth Robinson ministered to the family. Bro. Gary Humphry gave a heartfelt eulogy. Music was provided by The McFadden Boys and The Humphrey Family. Chad Humphrey, Eugene McFadden, Austin Harvell, Doug Janis, David Harvell, and Josiah Webster served as pallbearers. Burial was in Alwood Cemetery, Piedmont.
