Kathryn "Kathy" Meinhardt, 57, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO. Kathy was born June 9, 1967, in East St. Louis, IL, to Shannon and Betty (Cook) Webster.
Kathy was a loving wife, devoted mother, nurturing grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, known for the love for her family, and deep faith.
Kathy married Robert "Bob" Meinhardt, February 14, 2002, and the two shared many wonderful years of love, laughter, and companionship. Kathy was of the Christian faith and found strength and comfort in her beliefs, which guided her throughout her life. Her greatest joy was taking care of her family, and her world truly revolved around her children and grandchildren.
Kathy’s passion for life was reflected in her many interests. She was an avid reader and enjoyed challenging herself with crossword puzzles and word searches. She found peace in landscaping and appreciating the beauty of nature. Despite all of her hobbies, her heart belonged to her family. She took as much responsibility as she could onto herself. Between managing her and Bob's home and immediately taking care of any problems that arose, Kathy still managed to always be the first to reach out to help when any of her loved ones were in need.
Kathy’s love for her grandchildren was boundless, and spending time with them brought her immeasurable happiness.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother: Johnny Webster; and sisters: Donna Brown, Judy Webbe, and Paula Jean "Jeannie" Webster.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband of twenty-two years; children: John Thornburgh of Piedmont, and Wesley Shatley of Piedmont; stepchildren: Robert Meinhardt and wife Jayme of Annapolis, Dylan Meinhardt of Paxton, IL, Crystal Davis and husband Kenneth of St. Louis, Ashley Adrian of Waterloo, MI, and Tabitha Vetter and husband Chris of Kauna, WI, Whitney Meinhardt of Rantoul, IL; her cherished nineteen grandchildren; brothers: Gary Webster and wife Wilma of Piedmont, and Timothy Webster of Piedmont; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Kathy’s passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew her. Her kindness, generosity, and dedication to her family and faith will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
