Kathy Lynn (Montgomery) Jackson

Kathy Lynn Jackson, 65, of Festus, MO, formerly of Silva, MO, passed away July 15th, 2024. She was born November 12th, 1958, in St. Louis, MO, to Doyle "Bouncer" and Maria "Theresa" (Short) Montgomery.

Kathy was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She devoted her time and care for others in various healthcare positions and always had an impeccable love for each patient. She was known for her passion and love of her pets and other animals.  She was an avid craftsman and enjoyed jewelry making, crocheting, macrame, and scrapbooking.  She will be remembered for her love of family and desire to see her children prosper.

Kathy is preceded in death by her grandparents: Dewey and Emma (Gallacci) Short and Thomas and Ova (Jones) Montgomery.

Kathy is survived by her parents, Bouncer and Theresa (Short) Montgomery; children: Micheal Shan Jackson and wife Crystal, Lacey Marie (Jackson) Marcum and husband Mickey; grandchildren: Elizabeth (Jackson) Wantulok and husband Kenneth, Theresa Jackson, Cameron, Chandler, Cooper, Lillian, and Chase Gaugh, Michael Jackson III; great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Kenzie, and Weston Wantulok; brother: Mark Montgomery; nephew: Kyle Montgomery; niece: Megan Nibbe and husband Shaun; great-niece: Renna Nibbe; uncles: John Short and Dale Montgomery; special friend; Darryl Cole; many cousins, other relatives and friends.  

The family would like to express their gratitude to the supporting healthcare providers during her lengthy illness. 

Visitation was held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel. Funeral service followed at 2:00 pm, also in the Greenville Chapel. Bro. Kenny Burchard ministered to the family. Michael Jackson, Mark Montgomery, Kyle Montgomery, Mickey Marcum, Shaun Nibbe, and Darryl Waldrup Jr. served as pallbearers.  Burial was in New Prospect Cemetery, Silva.
