Kenneth Lavern Estes Sr., 91, of Williamsville, MO, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, of Covid, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, Poplar Bluff, MO. He was born in Taskee, MO, on June 18, 1930, to the late Ira Estes and Ora (Wilson) Estes. He graduated from Greenville High School.
On July 2, 1950, he married the love of his life, Eupha Mae Jordan. They were blessed with six children. Kenneth Estes Jr. and wife Sonja of Piedmont, Dannie “Dan” Estes and wife Anita of Williamsville, James “Jim” Estes and wife Carol of Hiram, Jeffrey Estes and wife Sandra of Cape Girardeau, Beth Williams of Wappapello, and Kimberly Duckett and husband Mitch of Poplar Bluff; twenty-one grandchildren and fifty-two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Eupha; son, James “Jim” Estes; two grandchildren, Matthew James Estes and Kelley Kaye Estes; two sisters: Audrey Davis and Laurie Ward; one brother, Paul Estes Sr.
Kenneth loved his church and church friends. He enjoyed Spokesman’s Club, Socials, and having “Feeds.” He was a great trapper, hunter, and built houses for a living. He was so funny and loved telling jokes. He enjoyed family get-togethers and reading his bible. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation was held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 7, 2022, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville. Funeral service followed at the chapel at 1:00 P.M. Bro. Doug Collison ministered to the family. Ryan Shaw, Dillon Shaw, Bryce Estes, Jadon Estes, Landon Duckett, Sean Williams Jaco and Daylan Harty served as pallbearers. Burial was in Rucker Cemetery near Williamsville.
