Kenneth “Wayne” Politte, 74, formerly of Greenville, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021, at DePaul Hospital, St. Louis. He was born in Mineral Point, MO, on August 29, 1946, to parents Leo Nelson and Alta Mae (Vance) Politte.
Wayne was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He married Charmane Edwards in 1971, and they were blessed with two children. He past attended Fresh Anointing Church, Fredericktown, MO, then Landmark Family Church, Maryland Heights, MO. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years and making others laugh and smile. Wayne loved his family, going to church, reading his Bible, and helping others.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Charmane (Edwards) Politte, of forty years; brothers: Vernon, Jerome, William, Richard, and Gary Politte; brother-in-law: Jimmy Martin.
Wayne is survived by his children: Dustin Robert Politte of St. Louis, Diana M. Upchurch and husband Coltin Upchurch of Wichita, KS; grandson: Toby Upchurch of Wichita, KS; sister: Loretta Cowen of St. Louis; mother-in-law: Alpha Bell (Stout) Lee of Williamsville; brother-in-law: Robert Edwards and wife Karen of Ellington; sister-in-law: Glenda Nichols of Winona; many nieces, nephew, and friends. Wayne will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation was held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel. Funeral service followed at 4:00 pm, also in the Greenville Chapel. Bro. John Kelleher ministered to the family. Dustin Politte, Jeffery Bates, Coltin Upchurch, Jerome Cowen, Billy Politte, Vernon Politte, Danny Politte, and Robert Edwards served as pallbearers.
