Lavern Marler, 79, of Greenville, MO, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Parkland Hospital in Farmington, MO. He was born December 13, 1942, in Shook, MO, to parents Virgil and Lorene Marler.
Lavern was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially around a campfire. You could often find Lavern in his garage working with the grandkids and on his tractors. Lavern loved going to church, most of all he loved Jesus. He was a family man; he spent all his free time at family get togethers and picking on his grandkids.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two sons: Travis Marler and Wade Marler; brothers: DeWayne Marler and sister: Dorothy Heath.
Lavern is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Sharon (Allen) Marler of Greenville, MO; son: Daniel and his wife Lauren Marler of Greenville, MO; daughters: Amy Marler of Puxico, MO, Heather and Junior Wilbanks of Greenville, MO; brothers: Leon Marler and Bill Marler; sisters: Betty Goodman and Kathy Marler; grandchildren: Brent Marler, Austin (Tori) Wilbanks, Wyatt Wilbanks and his fiancé Savanna. Alexis Marler, Alyssa Wilbanks, Dannie Smithart, Hunter Marler, and Elijah Wilbanks; great-grandchildren: Braxton Wilbanks. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 4:30 pm, at Highway Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville, MO. Funeral service followed at 6:30 pm, also at Missionary Baptist Church. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
