Lee Roy Foster

Lee Roy Foster, 87, of Williamsville, MO, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center, Piedmont, MO. He was born in West Frankfort, IL, May 28, 1939, to parents Ancil and Violet (Hagan) Foster.

From an early age, Lee Roy developed the strong faith, unwavering work ethic, and deep love for family that would define the rest of his life.

While serving his country in the United States Air Force, Lee Roy met the love of his life, Betty Fenlon. The couple was united in marriage on November 8, 1958, in Everett, WA, beginning a remarkable journey together that spanned more than sixty-seven years. Together they built a home centered on faith, love, and devotion and were blessed with three children, five cherished grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Above all else, Lee Roy loved the Lord and his family. His life's calling was sharing the Gospel, and he faithfully served as a pastor for more than forty years. Through his preaching, encouragement, and steadfast faith, he touched countless lives and left an enduring spiritual legacy that will continue for generations.

In addition to his ministry, Lee Roy had a lifelong love of farming and a heart for serving his community. He faithfully served on the County Farm Committee for twenty-five years and was honored with a plaque recognizing his years of dedicated service. He proudly served as president and master of ceremonies for the Williamsville School Alumni Association and was actively involved in many other community organizations and events.

Whether in the pulpit, working in the fields, or surrounded by those he loved, Lee Roy lived with humility, integrity, kindness, and unwavering faith. He especially treasured traveling with Betty throughout the years, making many trips across the country to visit her family and creating memories they would cherish for a lifetime.

He is preceded in death by both his parents.

Lee Roy is survived by his devoted wife of sixty-seven years, Betty Foster; children: Daniel Foster of Williamsville, Steven Foster and wife Lisa of Williamsville, Kawanda Brinkley and husband Greg of Piedmont; grandchildren: Kayla Trent and husband Will of Yukon, OK, Scott Foster and wife Elexa of Williamsville, Colleen Jackson and husband Jordan of Royal Air Force Base (RAF) Mildenhall Suffolk, England, and Mason Foster and wife Sabrina of Poplar Bluff; nine beloved great-grandchildren; along with many extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were blessed by knowing him.

Lee Roy's greatest legacy was not found in the positions he held or the honors he received, but in the faith he lived, the family he loved, and the countless lives he influenced through his example. His gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and servant's heart will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation was held at 10:00 am, Friday, July 10, 2026, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Williamsville Chapel. Funeral service followed at 12:00 noon, also in the Williamsville Chapel. Pastor Mark Green ministered to the family. Music was provided by guitarist, Don Goff. Greg Brinkley, Scott Foster, Mason Foster, Ted Schovwecker, Randy Swinger, and Jeff Henson served as pallbearers. Burial was in Davidson Cemetery near Williamsville, MO.
