Leoma M. Hicks, 88, of Greenville, MO, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, Poplar Bluff, MO. She was born in Kime, MO, April 9, 1935, to parents John and Rosa (Barker) Daves.
Leoma was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She married Harold T. Hicks on September 5, 1950, and to this union three children were born. Leoma was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed attending church. She enjoyed her cat, Whiskers, watching Dennis’ livestock, and she loved her little pink buddy.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-one years; daughter Darla; brothers: Lloyd and Floyd Daves; sister: Lois Gramlich.
Leoma is survived by her children: Linda Donathan and husband Mike of Forsyth, Dennis “Lefty” Hicks of Greenville, Gail Golden and husband Rick of Hiram; grandchildren: Jeff Donathan and wife Amy, Darold Donathan and wife Shannon, Bobby Golden, Dawna Dewitt and husband Kelly; great-grandchildren: Alli, Sam Joseph and Caleb Donathan, Wyatt Golden, Destiny, Keaden, Delana, and Kye Dewitt; brothers: Lavern Daves of Silva, Lawrence Daves and wife Naomi of Advance; many nieces and nephews. Leoma will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation was held at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel. Funeral service was held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 13, 2023, also in the Greenville Chapel. Bro. Louie Robinson and Bro. Mike Green ministered to the family. Music was provided by Joslyn Payne, Carolyn Elder, and guitarist Robert Elder. Dennis Hicks, Jeff Danathan, Darold Danathan, Bobby Golden, John Herbert Daves, and Jeff Daves served as pallbearers. Randy Daves served as honorary pallbearer. Burial followed in New Prospect Cemetery, Silva, MO. Online condolences can be made at www.reuggfuneralhomes.com
