Linda Lou Hillis, 76, of Williamsville, MO, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021, at her residence. She was born August 6, 1945, to parents Lasseltine Plants and Hassie (Page) Thorkelson.
Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She married Wilbert Hillis on August 18, 1962, in Williamsville, and to this union three children were born. Linda enjoyed working in her garden and canning. She loved to read and spend time with her family. She and Wilbert did everything together. She enjoyed going to the river, fishing, and traveling to Kentucky Lake to fish with Wilbert.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons: Randy Lee and Terry Richard Hillis; brothers: Denny and Tommy Breece; and sister: Sue Liber.
Linda is survived by her loving and devoted husband of fifty-nine years; son: Freddie Hillis and wife Regenna of Williamsville; grandchildren: Joseph Hillis of Poplar Bluff, Brayden Hillis of Piedmont, and Jordan Hillis of AR. Linda will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation was held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Williamsville Chapel. Funeral service followed at 11:00 am, also in the Williamsville Chapel. Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family. Bob Hillis, James Hillis, Bobby Hillis, Bill Hillis, Clifford Smith, and Curt Luke served as pallbearers. Burial was in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
