Linda Ellen Miller-Riggs, 72, of Annapolis, MO passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Parkland Health Care in Farmington, MO. She was born June 28, 1951 in Ironton, MO to parents Edgar Paul and Ruby Jewell (Sutton) Persons.
Linda was a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a tough, independent, and outspoken woman. She had a green thumb and was always planting or re-planting flowers and liked to share with friends and family. She had a huge heart for animals and loved her dogs. She always had chickens, too. If you knew her, she probably gifted you flowers, eggs and/or a puppy at some point.
Linda had many jobs throughout her life including property caretaker, EMT, restaurant owner, over the road trucker and owner of her dog kennel. She liked to craft, too, doing ceramics, woodworking or building glass totems for her yard. She was always working on something.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Dick Riggs and brothers: Lonnie Persons and Butch Persons.
Linda is survived by her children: Darrell Miller and wife Angie, Joe Miller and wife Terri, Clinton Miller and wife Michelle, Brandy Steen and husband, Eric and Toby Miller; her sister, Brenda Rennie and husband, Jerry; stepchildren: Garland Riggs and wife Donna, Dulcey Spurlin and husband Terry, Richard (Goob) Riggs and wife, Jackie; eighteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation was held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Ruegg Funeral Home Piedmont Chapel. A graveside service was held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Hyatts Creek Cemetery, Annapolis, MO. Bro. Tim Adams ministered to the family. Darrell Miller, Clinton Miller, Dusty Miller, Shiloh Miller, Logan Miller, Taylor Collins served as pallbearers. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuenralhomes.com
