Lois Hemmerlein Obituary

Lois V. Hemmerlein, 90, of Taskee, MO, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Greenville Health Care. She was born in Taskee on September 21, 1930, to parents Jasper “Jack” and Mary (Willard) Bailey.  

Lois was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She married Erich Earnest Hemmerlein on March 13, 1948, and they were blessed with two children. She was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church of Williamsville. Lois was a wonderful care giver, taking care of her ill mother-in-law and husband. She was also family oriented, nurturing mother and grandmother and enjoyed cooking, canning, and taking care of and spending time with her family. She had a great love for animals.  

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years; sisters: Loretta Wilder, Helen Evett and great-grandchild: Amber Clinton.    

Lois is survived by children: Virginia Phelps, Earnest Hemmerlein and wife Cathy; grandchildren: Lee Hemmerlein and wife Shannon, Lois Clinton and husband John; great-grandchildren: Tyler Clinton, Kendra Hemmerlein, Alex Hemmerlein; great-great-grandchildren: Karmyn and Paxton Clinton, all of the Williamsville and Greenville area; sisters: Wilma Wadley of St. Louis, Roberta Deason of Greenville, Doris Berkebile of Greenville, Velta Heaton of Williamsville; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephew, cousins and friends. Lois will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  

Visitation was held at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 24, at Cool Springs Baptist Church, Taskee. Funeral service followed at 11:00 am, also at Cool Springs Baptist Church. Bro. Tommy Brown and Bro. Jim Storey ministered to the family. Music was provided by Jeanette Cox. Lee Hemmerlein, John Clinton, Tyler Clinton, CJ Clinton, Jason Heaton, and John Cox served as pallbearers. Burial will be in Cool Springs Cemetery, Taskee. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
