Lola Costephens Obituary

Lola Lee Costephens, 85, of Arnold, MO, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Wappapello, MO, August 29, 1940, to parents Ernest Alvin and Lillian Lucille (Warren) Richmann.

Lola was a loving and nurturing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose life was defined by devotion to her family. She married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Lyle “Dean” Costephens, on December 26, 1959, and they were blessed with two wonderful daughters. Lola and Dean spent a lifetime making cherished memories, building a home filled with laughter, love, and unwavering support.

Family was everything to Lola. She dedicated her life to nurturing her children and grandchildren, instilling strong values, faith, and the importance of kindness and hard work. Her home was always open, her kitchen always warm, and her heart always full.

Lola had a passion for yard sales and antiquing, always thrilled by the excitement of finding a treasured bargain. She was an avid bowler and proudly achieved a perfect 300 game — a milestone she celebrated with joy. She was also a wonderful cook who enjoyed raising and canning her own food, taking pride in providing for her family from her own garden.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son-in-law Dennis Sansoucie.

Lola is survived by her devoted husband of sixty-six years; daughters: Lisa Hoffmann and husband Don, and Lana Sansoucie; grandchildren: Rebecca Naylor and husband Johnny, Jennifer Duncan, Chrissy Hodges and husband Joseph, Elijah Parrish, and Sarah Cain; great-grandchildren: Porscha Duncan, Reagan Bielik, Morgan Moser, Jonah and Jace Naylor, Sam, Lola, and Wyatt Hodges, and Elijah, Delilah, and Jaxon Parrish; brothers: Don Richmann and wife Madonna, and David Richmann; sister: Loretta Fox and husband John; along with many extended family members and a host of dear friends.

Lola will be greatly missed and forever remembered as a woman who loved deeply and lived fully. She was much loved and cherished by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
