Lonnie "Joe" Allen, 67, of Clubb, MO, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, in Greenville, MO. He was born in Marble Hill, MO, February 28, 1957, to Floyd Edward and Ida Melinda (Rainwater) Allen.
Joe was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and the youngest of thirteen children. His life was shaped by hard work and a deep connection to the land. While Joe worked in various manufacturing jobs and spent many years as an over-the-road truck driver, his true passion was logging and sawmilling. He spent countless hours in the woods, either running his own operation or working for others, and he loved every moment of it. Even after illness forced him to step away from the sawmill trade, Joe often reminisced about his time in the woods and spoke fondly of his work.
Joe was known for his storytelling, especially when it came to tales of his large family growing up and the many adventures that came with it. He had a gift for making everyone laugh and enjoyed sharing his "million fish stories" from his love of fishing.
In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his brothers: Ronnie, Johnny, and Bill Allen; sisters: Sue Jackson, Imogene Dees, Mary Delbruegee, Judy Croney, Bette Storm, Sharon Dorris, and Diane Mullen.
Joe is survived by his children” Josh Allen and wife Amanda of Greenville, and Julie Boulware and husband Aaron of Crocker; grandchildren: Miranda, Lillian, and Preston Allen of Greenville, and Nicholas and Katherine Boulware of Crocker; brother: Kenny Allen and wife Wendy of Overland, and Debbie Reeves and husband Gary of Clubb.
Joe's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Joe was a man who loved deeply, worked hard, and always had a story to tell.
