Mabel “Ruth” Clark, 79, of Piedmont, MO, passed away, Thursday, August 15, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Piedmont, MO, September 15, 1944, to parents Joel A. “Jack” and Mabel L. (Marr) Ruble.
Ruth was a devoted wife, nurturing mother, loving grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Piedmont. She married James “Bud” Clark on January 4, 1964, and they were blessed with three children. Ruth was a home maker and enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and taking care of her husband and family. She drove a school bus for many years in Kentucky. When she moved back to Piedmont, she worked at the bank until she took a secretary position at Harvest Baptist. Ruth truly enjoyed going to church and serving her Lord. She served as secretary for ten years at Harvest Baptist and was a Sunday School teacher in the past.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Robert “Bob” Ruble and wife Pat, Jack, and James Ruble; sister: Betty Bieser; brother-in-law: George Howard.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband of sixty years; children: Kenneth “Ken” Clark and wife Jane of Springfield, IL, Todd Clark of Piedmont, Lori Robinson of Piedmont; grandchildren: Hunter Clark and wife Michelle, Bailey Clark, Benjamen Robinson, Julie Robinson; great-grandchild: Calla Clark; brothers: Bruce “Pete” Ruble and wife Kathy of Piedmont, Richard “Ric” Ruble and wife Vivian of Piedmont, Charles Ruble and wife JoAnne of Pleasant Hill, Keith Ruble and wife Teresa of Vulcan; sisters: Patricia Howard of Piedmont, Helen Hughes and husband Ron of Farmington, Hazel Hopkins and husband Ron of Union, Sandy Phelps and husband Robert of Annapolis, Judy Koehr of Des Arc; sister-in-law: Debbie Ruble of Piedmont. Ruth will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation was held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 2:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Pete Ruble ministered to the family. Bailey Clark gave a heartfelt eulogy and provided special music. Kenneth Clark, Todd Clark, Hunter Clark, Jerod Henson, Scott Ruble, and Keith Ruble served as pallbearers. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont.
