Marcia Lynn (Jerrell) Moore

Marcia Lynn Moore, 72, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Charleston, WV, May 12, 1950, to parents Clifford and Dorothy (Rutan) Jarrell.

Marcia was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She married Marion “JR” Moore, the love of her life on October 4, 1970. She was quite crafty and enjoyed remodeling, painting, and decorating houses. Marcia also enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing cards and board games. She loved to work in her garden and plant flowers. Tulips were her favorite flower. Marcia was a jack of all trades, but her compassion for others led her to be a caregiver. With her ability to give more than she took, she cared for many families. She was of the Baptist faith and loved to sing at church. Marcia had a big heart.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years; brothers: James “Jimmy” Jarrell and Bruce Jarrell.

Marcia is survived by her children: Christopher Lee Moore of St. Louis, Marion “Ed” Moore and wife Ruth of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren: Kaitlin, Alexa, and Brenna Moore; sister: Phebe Cartell; sister-in-law: Vivian Holt, both of IL. Marcia will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation was held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 1:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor John Radford ministered to the family. Music and songs were provided by Roy Gardener and John Radford Jr. Burial was in New Liberty Jacktown Cemetery. Chris Moore, Ed Moore, James Gracey, Shelly Wiggins, Brian Jamieson, and Roy Million served as pallbearers. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
