Marilyn Kay Clyburn, 61, of Patterson, MO, passed away Friday, October 15, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis. She was born in Lutesville, MO, November 17, 1959, to parents Willis James and Wilma Jean (McGhee) White.
Marilyn was a loving wife, maw-maw KK, sister, aunt, and friend. She attended Greenville schools, worked at several factories and restaurants around the Cape Girardeau area. Marilyn married Wade Clyburn December 2, 1978, and they had a very special one-of-a-kind close relationship. She was of the General Baptist faith and was a true Christian lady. She past attended White Hollow General Baptist Church. Marilyn loved children and enjoyed babysitting every chance she had. She was a nurturer and very close to her nieces and nephews, they were everything to her.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Carroll “Bud” and Michael White.
Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of forty-two years; her mother; three brothers: Randall White of Coldwater, Ronnie White and wife Janice of Marble Hill, Roy White and wife Robin of Jackson; three sisters: Joyce Glueck and husband Kevin of Cape Girardeau, Barbara Sanders and husband Richard W. of Piedmont, Lisa Baker and husband Junior of Clubb; many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
Visitation was held at 10:00 am, Monday, October 18, 2021, at White Hollow Baptist Church. Funeral service followed at 11:00 am, also at White Hollow Baptist Church. Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family. Marvin Clyburn, Travis Clyburn, Brandon Clyburn, Ronnie White, Roy White, and Devin Clyburn served as pallbearers.
