Mark Joseph Lagermann, 72, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Parkland Health Center, Farmington, MO. He was born in St. Louis, MO, December 28, 1952, to the late Wilbert “Bill” and Inez (Mooney) Lagermann.
Mark led a life dedicated to service, compassion, and family. He served with honor as a police officer with the St. Louis Metro Police Department for twenty-seven years before retiring to Piedmont. His dedication to helping others, whether through his career or in his personal life, was a reflection of his kind and selfless spirit.
Mark married the love of his life, Shelly Wilson, on June 30, 2002, and together they created many cherished memories. Mark was a true family man, finding the greatest joy in spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren. Whether as a husband, father, or "paw-paw," Mark’s love for his family was boundless, and he embraced his role with a gentle heart and a caring presence.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son: Mark Lagermann Jr.; daughter: Dawn Blumenfeld; and brother: Alan Lagermann.
Mark is survived by his devoted wife of twenty-two years; children: Misty, Rachel, Amy, Nicole, Hannah, Sarah, and Michael Lagermann, all of St. Louis; step son, Dale Wilson of Kentucky; son-in-law: Doug Blumenfeld; grandchildren: Abigail, Chloe, Erik, Isaak, Miguel, Emmanuel, Gabriel, Mason, Lillianna, Elliott, and Willow; great-grandchildren: Demetrius, Baileigh, and Aaliyah; sisters: Sue Schellin, Nancy McClane and husband Tom, Carolyn Piccoli and husband Jerome; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who will all miss him dearly.
Mark’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will endure. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to have crossed his path.
