Mary Dougherty of Williamsville, MO, passed away June 17, 2024. She was born January 20, 1938, at Chaonia, MO, to parents Henry Franklin and Mildred (Tinker) Reed.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She married Lloyd Ray Dougherty on December 31, 1956, in Hernando, MS, and they were blessed with one son. Mary was of the Baptist faith and a member of First Baptist Church of Williamsville. She worked at the Hat Factory until they closed before becoming a caregiver at Missouri Home Care until she retired.
Mary enjoyed reading her bible, doing word search puzzles, needle work and spending time with family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-four years; and her sister: Virginia Sanders.
Mary is survived by her son: Gary Dougherty and wife Donna of Chaffee; two grandchildren: Joe Dougherty and wife Stephanie of Greenville, Merry Jones and husband Eldon of Greenville; one great-grandson: Tracen Hopkins; several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Mary will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation was held at 10:00 am, Friday, June 21, 2024, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Williamsville Chapel. Funeral followed at 11:00 am, also in the Williamsville Chapel. Pastor Henry Pasquet ministered to the family. Terry Dougherty, Eldon Jones, Doug Dougherty, Joe Dougherty, and Tracen Hopkins served as pallbearers.
