Mary Rose Hurt, 73, of Annapolis, MO, passed away Thursday, December 23, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She was born in St. Louis, MO, August 5, 1948, to parents James Gaither and Rose Marie Hale.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother (GG), aunt, and friend. She was a member of Nazarene church of Annapolis. Mary was an avid reader, and seamstress. She enjoyed watching movies, working puzzles, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepfather: Mirl Hale; brother: Jimmy Gaither; sisters: Donna Costa, Nora Hedger, and Juanita Millican.
Mary is survived by her children: Marvin Sims of Farmington, Jessica Dickerson and husband Philip of Annapolis, Deanna Chitty and husband Jeff of Farmington; grandchildren: Dean Sloan, Amber Douglas and significant other James Fuller, Andrew Dickerson and wife Amanda of Piedmont, Jonathan Dickerson and wife Taylor of Branson; great-grandchildren: Mark Douglas, Pearl Morton, Abby, and Savannah Fuller, William, Preston, Ethan, and Collin Holifield, Lily and Lacey Dickerson; brother: John Hale and wife Beth of St. John, MO; sisters: Wanda Whitney and husband Michael of Troy, MO, Denise Hale of Hazelwood; special friend of family: Morris Douglas. Mary will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
