Mary Lou McEwen

Mary Lou McEwen, 89, of Silva, MO, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020, at her residence. She was born February 13, 1931, to parents Clecy and Blanche (Shearrer) Evans. Mary Lou was a loving wife and friend. She married Larry McEwen June 1, 1966. She was a retired school teacher. She enjoyed playing the piano and was the pianist at her church when she was able to attend. Mary Lou loved to travel. She and Larry traveled all over the United States and about eight foreign countries. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister: Shirley Taylor. Mary Lou is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, and close friends Gerald and Janet Allen. A graveside service was held at 9:00 am, Sunday, March 15, 2020, at Montgomery Cemetery, Silva. Bro. Manuel Allen ministered to the family. Gerald Allen, Dalton Allen, Austin Allen, Shawn Wallis, Leonard Heath, and Jared Swain served as pallbearers.
