Michael "Mike" James Palmer

Michael “Mike” J. Palmer, 57, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Clarks Mountain Nursing Center, Piedmont. He was born in Poplar Bluff, MO, on September 18, 1963, to parents James E. and Shirley Janet (Seals) Palmer.

Mike was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a graduate from Clearwater High School. Mike was a self-employed logger for fifteen years. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and hunting. Mike was known for his story telling and he could tell some tall tales.

He is preceded in death by both his parents.

Mike is survived by his children: Joseph Palmer of Fruitport, MI, Robert Palmer of Grand Rapids, MI; two grandchildren; brother: Stanley Palmer and wife Lola of Fredericktown, Joyce Sutton and companion Carl Ruble of Annapolis; one niece, two nephews, and many friends. Mike will be greatly missed.  

Visitation was held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 1:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Bro.
