With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Matriarch, Michaela Ann “Annie Hanger, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Michaela passed away peacefully in her sleep at her residence on September 6, 2021, in Pevely, MO. She was in her 66th year. She was born in St. Louis, MO. Michaela was the daughter of the late Michael Brougham and Mary Louise Hakala.
She leaves behind her children: Michael Cole, Pamela Harding, Michael Kimes, Samantha Hanger and Brittany McDermott. She was the devoted grandmother to grandchildren: Lynsie Carlton, Austin Kimes, Bodie Cole, Lillian Cole, Isabelle Rogers, Charley Kimes, Killian Davis; and great-grandchildren: Alice Gray and Betley Kimes; brother: William Brougham and wife Lisa; sisters: Mary Berry, Judy Brown, Tina Stukenbroeker, Peggy Rue and Nancy King and husband Chris.
Michaela was a United States Army Veteran, serving as Military Police. She devoted her life to her family and friends, which earned her the title of Queen Mother.
A visitation was held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, September 10, 2021, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129. A memorial visitation was held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Memorial service followed at 3:00 PM. Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family.
