Mildred Eads, 92, of Williamsville, MO, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at Clark’s Mountain Nursing Center. She was born in Mill Spring, MO, September 29, 1929, to parents Joseph and Ada (Skaggs) Dougherty.
Mildred was truly a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her children. She married Forrest “Frosty” Eads March 7, 1946, and they were blessed six children. Mildred was of the Christian faith. She had lived in Williamsville most of her life. She was a homemaker, and nurturer. Her greatest legacy was her family who she was very proud of.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of seventy-two years; infant daughter: Judy; brothers: Joe and Ray Dougherty; sisters: Opal Foster, Lorene Burns, Irene Goebel, Mary Marler, and Ruth Shular.
Mildred is survived by her children: Jr. Eads and wife Linda of Poplar Bluff, MO, Donnie Eads and wife Sue of St. Charles, IL, Peggy York of Williamsville, MO, JoAn Thurston and husband Lonnie of Greenville, MO, Sharon Eisenbeis and husband Doug of Williamsville, MO, Robin Barks and husband Ronnie of Silva, MO; grandchildren: Alesia, Finley, Kevin, Sheila, Mark, Darren, Michael, Jason, Daniel, Holly, Joanna, Jacob, and Caleb; sixteen great-grandchildren; brother: Gene Dougherty of Williamsville; sister: Verna Nunn of California. Mildred will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation was held at 11:00 am, Friday, April 1, 2022, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Williamsville Chapel. Funeral service followed at 1:00 pm, also in the Williamsville Chapel. Pastor Helen Edwards ministered to the family. Finley York, Kevin York, Jacob Barks, Caleb Barks, Darren Thurston, Michael Thurston, James Wilson, and Mike Darnell served as pallbearers.
