Norma Louise (Tibbs) Wilson

Norma Louise Wilson, 94, passed away on March 2, 2025. Norma was born to Floyd and Mabel (Raglin) Tibbs on Dec 6, 1930. She was married to Jasper Nelson Dec 25, 1951, he preceded her in death in 1966. She married George Wilson Dec 6, 1969. He preceded her in death in 2006. Norma worked throughout life in many places. She enjoyed her passion of gardening, many families had jars of pickles on the table due to her making sure there was always something to eat in the cellar. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for babies. Norma is survived by daughters: Vera Archer and Yvonne Smith as well sons Johnny Nelson and wife Terrie, Allen Nelson, Gary Nelson and wife Joyce and Earnie Wilson and wife Shawna. Fifteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren; brother: Gerald Tibbs; many nieces, nephews and cousins that she always considered as her children as well. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands: Jasper Nelson and George Wilson; three sisters: Mary Lois, Dorothy and Earlene; four brothers: Bill, Kenneth, Leroy, George; three children: Doris Jean, Jerome and Anthony; three grandchildren: David, Jodi and Travis as well as several nieces, and nephews. Mom will be remembered for her tireless taking care of others and being an example of a mother and grandmother. Go rest now mom, your work on earth is done. Visitation was held at 11:30 am, Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel. Funeral followed at 1:00 pm, also at the Greenville Chapel. Pastors Carlos Jeffries and Pastor Virgil Nelson ministered to the family. Jason Nelson, Justin Shields, Jake Smock, Cory Smock, Joe Armstrong, Luke Johnson, and Brody Armstrong served as pallbearers. Burial was in Lewis Cemetery, Lodi, MO.
