Patricia “Pat” Mae Alexander, 83, of Piedmont, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She was born May 24, 1942, in Sullivan, Ohio, to Frank and Hazel Mae (Sifread) Shoulter.
Pat was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who cherished her family above all else. In 1960, she married her high school sweetheart, Bob Humphrey, and from that union were born two children, Christopher and Michelle. In 1984, she married Ron Alexander, and together they shared many years filled with love, companionship, and cherished memories until his passing in 2001. Pat dedicated many years of her life to her career, beginning with twenty-five years of service at Cresco, where she worked her way into a supervisory role. Following the sale of Cresco, Pat continued her career with Landoll, where she remained a loyal and hardworking employee for more than fifteen additional years before retiring. Her strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment were evident throughout her professional life. Known for her keen eye for a bargain, Pat found great joy in shopping for those she loved. She especially enjoyed estate sales, auctions, and thrift stores. She also loved bird watching and had a deep compassion for animals. If there was ever an animal in need, Pat was always ready to help. Throughout her adult life, she cared for many pets, including dogs, cats, chickens, and even deer. A devoted Elvis fan, Pat treasured the opportunity to see him perform in concert. In her spare time, she enjoyed putting puzzles together and had a remarkable talent for gardening, able to grow almost any plant or flower. She was also an accomplished crafter and seamstress, spending many years lovingly handcrafting Halloween costumes for her grandchildren—gifts that will forever be treasured. In her later years, she especially enjoyed playing bingo, a pastime that brought her joy, laughter, and fellowship. Above all else, Pat’s greatest legacy was her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ron Alexander; her brother, Joseph Shoulter; her sister, Joan Clevidence; and her grandchild, Tad Tucker.
Pat is survived by her children: Christopher Humphrey and wife Becky of West Salem, Ohio; Michelle Tucker and husband Scott of Piedmont, Missouri; David Alexander and wife Janet of Kentucky; Kendall Alexander and wife Susan of Colorado; and Keith Alexander and wife Megan of Utah; grandchildren: Michael Keller, Tasha Tucker, and Tiffany Boyer, all of Piedmont; Brandi Humphrey, Brittney Humphrey, and Jeremy Smith, all of West Salem, Ohio; Alyssa Woods and Lyndsey Bevins, both of Kentucky; Tyler Alexander of Utah; and Annie Anderson, Aaron Alexander, and Caitlin Alexander, all of Colorado; twenty-six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Pat cherished time spent with her loved ones and leaves behind countless memories that will continue to be shared for generations.
