Ricky “Rick” Wayne Luke, 63, of Williamsville, MO, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023, at his sister’s home in Wappapello, MO. He was born in Poplar Bluff, MO, February 16, 1960, to parents Lester and Nadine (Greenwall) Luke.
Rick was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He grew up around Williamsville and attended Greenville schools. He married Virginia “Annette” Hill, August 1, 1978, and they were blessed with five children and two bonus sons. Rick loved being on Wappapello Lake. He enjoyed staying busy, fishing, and hunting with his family, tinkering with different projects, and especially going on his yearly boys croppie fishing trip in March at Kentucky Lake. Rick was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son: Richard Luke; sister: Vicky Thouvenin, daughter-in-law: Windy Luke-Thomas.
Rick is survived by his loving wife of forty-four years; sons: Lawrence Luke and wife Gina of Williamsville, Joseph Curtis Luke and wife Alex of Ft. Drum, NY; bonus sons: Donald Gilliam, and Jr. Leeds both of Williamsville; daughters: Kathryn Hall of Ellsinore, Joy Michelle Luke of Washington; brothers: Roy Luke and wife Erma of Williamsville, Frank Luke and wife Violet of Piedmont, Curtis Luke and wife Debbie of Williamsville; sister: Peggy Bruce of Wappapello; seventeen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Rick will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation was held at 12:00 pm noon, August 5, 2023, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Williamsville Chapel. Memorial service was held at 2:00 pm, also in Ruegg Funeral Home, Williamsville Chapel. Pastor Darrell Davis ministered to the family. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
