Robert Martin Moore, 76, of Piedmont, MO, passed away at his residence on Thursday, September 25, 2025. He was born in El Paso, Texas, February 9, 1949, to parents Wilson C. and Thelma M. (Waltman) Moore.
Robert was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a warm heart, generous spirit, and deep love for his family. A proud veteran of the United States Army, Robert continued his service to his country as a skilled mechanic on a military base following his time in uniform. He was an avid musician who loved to sing and could play almost any instrument, including guitar, harmonica, and piano with his family. Robert loved the outdoors and found joy in fishing, hunting, and traveling. Cruises were a favorite, giving him the chance to explore new places while spending quality time with loved ones.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: Terry Moore; half-brothers: Ronnie Step, and Kenny Step; and sister: Sue Grady.
Robert is survived by his children: Robin Moore of Piedmont, Cathy Lisk and husband Rick of IA, Nicole Buchana and husband Mason of Piedmont; grandchildren: Robert Moore, Samantha Cooper, Candice Moore, and Chelsea Lisk; great-grandchildren: Aleaha Bates, Madalyn Bates, Caroline Cooper, Damien Cooper, Kinsley Smith, and Elly Smith; many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
Robert will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His legacy of music, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
A graveside memorial was held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Mt. View Cemetery, Des Arc, MO. Pastor William Daugherty ministered to the family and full military honors was provided by MO Army National Guard and American Legion post 281, Piedmont, MO.
