Robert Lavon Risby

Robert Lavon Risby, 87, of Piedmont, MO, passed away, Monday, March 28, 2022, at Stockoff Memorial Nursing Center, Fredericktown, MO. He was born in Piedmont, July 30, 1934, to parents James Collins and Eula Mae (Henson) Risby.

Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He married Edna May Faulkner on July 1, 1960, and they were blessed with two sons. Robert worked on his own farm raising food, hogs, and cows. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting deer, and was very content sitting on his porch telling stories. Robert’s greatest blessing was his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son: Michael Risby; his brother: Lloyd Collin Risby and wife Mary; nephew: Bill Risby.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years; son: Markel Risby and wife Tamara of Piedmont; grandchildren: Noah Risby, Samuel Risby, Tyler Kiersz, Kayce Kiersz; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Robert will be greatly missed.

A graveside service was held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Duncan Cemetery, Williamsville. Pastor Tom King ministered to the family. Jeff Henson, Frank Luke, Samuel Risby, Noah Risby, Tyler Kiersz, and Ryder Kiersz served as pallbearers. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
