Obituary

Robert “Bert” Owen Dudley, 64, of St. Louis, MO, formerly of Annapolis, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Chesterfield, MO. He was born in St. Louis, January 22, 1958, to parents James A. Dudley and Dixie A. (Miller) Cole.

Bert was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved many things in life and enjoyed traveling. Bert was an accomplished musician, he loved playing his guitar and the enjoyed the effect his music had on others. Bert loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them all.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son: Jason Dudley; brother: Ron Dudley Sr.; and niece Jaime Dudley.

Bert is survived by his children: Rob Dudley and wife April of Edwardsville, IL, Joe Dudley and wife Elizabeth of Granite City, IL, Amber Kuenz of Caseyville, IL; grandsons: Tyler Dudley, Chase Dudley, Hayden Vandenbossche; brothers: James Dudley and wife Judy of Des Arc, Charles Cole of Kansas City; nephews: Derek Cole, Donald Cole, Ronald Dudley; nieces: Jennifer Dudley, Danielle Cole. Bert will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Burial will be in Meadows Cemetery, Annapolis. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
