Robert "Bob" Eugene Casey

Robert “Bob” Eugene Casey, 85, of Greenville, MO, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at St. Francis Medical Center, Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born in Hadley, MO, February 16, 1938, to parents Harry and Mae (Johnston) Casey.

Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He owned and operated Piedmont Printing for nearly forty years. He was a graduate from Piedmont High School. Bob married Brenda Henderson on October 20, 2000. He was a Christian of the Baptist faith and attended Kime General Baptist Church. Bob enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting and especially coon hunting. He won many trophies with his coon dogs.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: Don Casey, and sisters: Peggy and Joan Casey.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife of twenty-two years; children: Dennis Casey of Poplar Bluff, Mona McAteer of Cedar Hill; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister: Maxine DeFusco of Niantic, CT; one niece, two nephews, several great nieces and nephews and many friends. Bob will be greatly missed.

Visitation was held from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service was held at 11:00 am, Monday, September 25, 2023, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Bro. Alan Casey ministered to the family. Bro. Johnny Meese read the obituary. Robin Casey provided special music. David Casey, Danny Casey, Adam Brassfield, Jaycin McAteer, Jeff Estes, and John Stringer served as pallbearers. John Fox, Cledius Burchard, and Jeff Lecocq served as honorary pallbearers. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
