Robert (Bob) Dean McAtee, 75, of Madison AL, Madsion County, and formerly of Advance, MO, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at UAB Hospital, in Birmingham, AL. He was born in Smith Center, KS on September 11, 1946, to parents Ralph L. and Jacqueline (Netz) McAtee.

He looked forward to the annual AOE Sailors Association convention with his Navy buddies every year. He also was a member of the Mobile Riverine Force Association.

Bob very much liked volunteering at the VFW and church. He was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church in Advance for many years, and served as a trustee and Sunday School Superintendent. Bob had been a hunter most of his life, and an avid gun collector. He collected coins, enjoyed poetry and anything to do with US History. Anyone who knew Bob, knows how much he liked sharing his many life stories in conversation.  His grandkids meant the world to him.
