Roberta Ann (McKenzie) Mahlo

Roberta Mahlo, 86, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024, at her residence. She was born March 30, 1938, in St. Louis, MO, to parents Robert and Catherine (Steckman) McKenzie.

Roberta was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a Porter at Ralston Purina, St. Louis for many years. Roberta married Duane A Mahlo, July 1, 1972. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and sitting outside with Duane, watching nature and wildlife. Roberta also enjoyed traveling. One of her favorite places was to Sanibel Island, FL, as well as Williamsberg, VA. Roberta’s greatest legacy was her family. She cherished every minute with her grandchildren, especially her great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons: Tom and Tim Hilliard; and sister: Catherine Holleman.

Roberta is survived by her loving husband of fifty-two years; daughter: Donna Davidson of Piedmont; grandchildren: Beth Hamilton and husband Justin, Nicole Reese and husband John, Amanda Davidson, Mathew Hilliard, Daniel Hilliard; great-grandchildren: Raelyn Hamilton, Gavin Hamilton, Arya Davidson, Credence Reese, Everett Reese; brothers: Mike McKenzie of Owensville, MO, Ronald McKenzie and wife Nancy of Leslie, MO. Roberta will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation was held at 5:00 pm, Monday, July 15, 2024, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Memorial service followed at 7:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Callum Reavey ministered to the family. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
