Ruby Ann Ruble, 94, Ellington, MO, formerly of Des Arc, MO, passed away, Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Clarks Mountain Nursing Center. She was born in Reynolds, MO, August 7, 1929, to parents Andrew “Boud” and Mary (Morris) Stevenson.
Ruby was the best mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother anyone could ever ask for. She enjoyed gardening in her younger years. She loved to walk, and after moving to the senior housing she was able to talk her friends into walking with her which was a benefit for all. Ruby enjoyed reading and was an awesome cook. The most important part of Ruby’s life was her family, which brought her tremendous joy.
In addition to her parents and husband of fifty-seven years, she is preceded in death by her sons: Berlin “Wayne” Ruble, Bernell and Arthur Ruble; brothers: Elmer, Glen, and Marshal Stevenson; sisters: Edna Pauline Stevenson, Gertrude “Dutch” Stevenson, and Edith Whitaker.
Ruby is survived by her grandchildren/children: Jeff Ruble and wife Lisa of Vulcan, Ronnie Ruble of Des Arc, Brenda Stewart and husband Jerry of Ellington; great grandchildren: Cody Stickferd, Erica (Ruble) Branstetter and husband Dustin, Trevor Ruble; step-great grandchildren: Blake, and Matt Stewart; great-great grandchildren: Presley Branstetter, Paetyn Stickferd, Abel Branstetter, Avett Branstetter, Bennett Stickferd, Banner Jack Branstetter; step-great-great grandchildren: Alyssa Stewart, Brody Stewart; many nieces and nephews. Ruby will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation was held at 5:00 pm, Monday, October 16, 2023, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service was held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 17, 2023, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Brent Reed ministered to the family. Cody Stickferd, Dustin Branstetter, Larry Goodman, Jerry Stewart, Leroy Prichard, and Trevor Ruble served as pallbearers.
