Rudy Wendell Bishop

Rudy Wendell Bishop, 80, of Arnold, MO, formerly of Piedmont,passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Woodlawn Nursing Center, Arnold. He was born in Truman, AR, on June 27, 1940, to parents Floyd V. and Glenda B. (Burris) Bishop.

Rudy was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He traveled the country working as a surveyor in his early career days before becoming a draftsman and mapmaker. Rudy was a born again Christian, was of the Baptist faith and was very involved in church. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Arnold, and Victory Baptist Temple in Piedmont. He enjoyed working on puzzles, crosswords, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son: Chad Bishop; brothers: Billy and Floyd Bishop.

Rudy is survived by his children: Brad Bishop and wife Kelly of Imperial, Andy Bishop of Imperial, Patricia Wilson of St. Louis; sisters: JoAnn Andres and husband Tom of St. Louis, Judie Bishop of Leasburg, FL, Mary Bishop of Piedmont, Kathy Osborn and husband, Dean of Greenville. Rudy will be missed by his family and friends.

Visitation was held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 12:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Bro. Jeff Parker ministered to the family. Music was provided by Bro. Jeff Parker accompanied by Sara Edgy. Brad Bishop, Andy Bishop, Brendan Bishop, Gene Butler, Dennis Osborn, Dylan Helbrueck served as pallbearers. Burial was in Caledonia Methodist Cemetery, Caledonia, MO.
