Sarah Ruth (Hill) Crowley

Sarah Ruth Crowley, 60, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away October 25, 2024. at her residence. She was born April 1, 1964, in Fredericktown, MO, to parents James Clayton and Dorothy Jean (Wilcox) Hill.

Sarah’s life was a testament to her unwavering love and faith. A cherished Christian, she loved the Lord with all her heart and lived her life in service to others. Her home was often filled with the wonderful aromas of her cooking and baking, a reflection of her nurturing spirit.

Sarah enjoyed creating beautiful diamond art and crocheting, sharing her talents with family and friends. Known for her great sense of humor, she brought laughter and joy to those around her, always ready with a smile or a kind word. Sarah was a pillar of support for anyone in need, offering wisdom and an abundance of love.

Family was everything to Sarah, and she cherished the time spent with her loved ones. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she took immense joy in being their grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepmother: Linda Hill; stepfather: LeeRoy Hill; brother: Jerry Clayton Hill; and sister: Betty Sue Counts.

She is survived by her daughter: Linda Darlene Schlater of Greenville; grandchildren: Kevin Levi Gardner, Keyonna Leanne Williams both of Greenville; brother: Larry Hill and wife Brenda of Greenville; sisters: Brenda Counts and husband Monroe of Winona, Ellen Lane and husband Richard of Overland Park, KS, Rose Armstrong of Kansas City, MO, and Kathy David of Piedmont; stepsisters: Lana Abrams and husband Eugene of Doniphan, Carol Duncan and husband Michael, and Sheila Sorensen of all from Piedmont; special friends: Carlos and Rhonda Jefferies of Poplar Bluff; her best friend and favorite companion: her dog Cricket; as well as several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Sarah Ruth Crowley will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her spirit of love, laughter, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.

Visitation was held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel. Funeral service followed at 11:00 am, also in the Greenville Chapel. Pastors Troy Robinson, and Carlos Jefferies ministered to the family. Pastor Allen Leutert read the obituary and gave a heartfelt eulogy. Levi Gardener, Tim Baggs, Billy Counts, Richard Sanders, Miah Counts, and Mandylin Counts served as pallbearers. Burial was in Rockwell Cemetery, Patterson.
