Sharon Marie Prosek, 78, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Clarks Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont.
She was born in McClure, IL, October 22, 1946, to parents Lloyd Adams and Mary Lee (Sronce) Struble. Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, known for her kind heart and independent spirit.
She married the love of her life, Kent Prosek, December 8, 1990, and together they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Sharon found great joy in the simple things—cooking delicious meals for her family, crocheting with love, and relaxing while watching her favorite show, Walker, Texas Ranger. In earlier years, she loved spending time outdoors, especially camping with family and friends.
Sharon had a deep love for people and a natural ability to connect with others. She was affectionately known as “Maw Maw” by children all over town—a reflection of the warmth and care she extended to everyone around her. Her greatest legacy was her family, whom she loved fiercely and selflessly. Time spent with them was what she treasured most.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother: Lenard “Buddy” Adams; sisters: Mary Weller, Shirley Swanson, and Barbara Adams; great-grandchild: Greyson Hammonds.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of thirty-four years; her children, Robert Shoe of Piedmont, and Glenda Kellar and husband Richard of Jefferson City; her fuzzy companion: Zingo; grandchildren: Tom Schultz and companion Krystal Davis, Donna Schultz, Amber Hammonds; great-grandchildren: Alyssa Schultz, Adelyn Schultz, Noah Hammonds, Leah Hammonds, Jaxson Hammonds, Alyssa Sabartinelli and Aubrey Davis; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Sharon will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
