Shawn Franklin Bruce

Shawn Franklin Bruce, 24, of Williamsville, MO, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born November 29, 1997, in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Shawn was a loving son, brother, uncle, and grandson. He enjoyed listening to music and his favorite shows. Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse and Paw Patrol. Oh the smiles and giggles you would get when you communicated to him and sang his favorite songs, like wheels on the bus, as we held hands and moved through the motions. Or when he got his kiss on the cheek and forehead as we said goodnight.  He will remain a persistent presence with us, forever in our heart.

He is preceded in death by his aunts: Joyce Bruce and Alice Bruce; grandparents: Daniel and his wife Wilma Faye Bruce, and Wilma Luke and her husband Richard Mitchem.

Shawn is survived by his parents: Peggy Mitchem and her significant other Bob LeBon of Williamsville, MO, and Oliver Bruce of Poplar Bluff, MO; two sisters: Tiffany Bruce and Melissa Bruce both of Poplar Bluff, MO; grandparent: Charles Goforth of Williamsville, MO; niece: Jolene; nephew: Owen; aunt: Mary and her husband (Kevin) Ford. Uncle: Brian Mitchem. Shawn will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
