Terry Michael “Mike” Moore, age 64, of Piedmont, MO passed peacefully from this life to the next on Friday, October 20, 2023. He was born November 18, 1958, in St. Louis, MO, to Wilson and Thelma (Waltman) Moore.
He is survived by daughter, Rebecca Strait, from his first marriage to Leta (Abbott) Davis, and daughter, Kayla Anderson, as well as four grandchildren, Elena and Trenton Strait and Kaden and Isaiah Anderson; two brothers: Kenneth Stepp and Robert Moore, both of Enterprise, Alabama; nieces, Nicky Buchana, Cathy Lisk, Robin Moore, DeeAnn Bauguss, Dana Stepp, Christina Stepp, and Angelique Love; nephews: Terry Stepp, Jason Stepp, Hershey Stepp, Stanley Stepp, Steve Stepp, Rusty Moore, Kevin Moore, Craig Moore, Gary Moore and many more great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Moore; his father, Wilson Moore; his two siblings: Sue Graddy Moore Stepp and Ronald Stepp; and many aunts and uncles from the Waltman and Moore sides.
Mike was a Navy Veteran and an electrician by trade. He was a great musician in his time, playing the guitar and harmonica. The family would sit around the fire playing, singing, and drinking, having a good time. Those are some of our best memories of him, along with enjoying the Missouri countryside together, whether splashing and playing in the clear water creeks, taking a scenic drive, or stargazing into the night. Terry would give anyone the shirt off his back. Terry always loved with his whole heart. He always looked after his mother and was very saddened when she passed. He waited for the time that he would see her once again in heaven. Michael was a believer in Jesus Christ and knew the word of God. He knew this place was just a rest stop before arriving at our true home in heaven. We know he was met with open arms by his family on the other side...
A graveside service was held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Mt. View Cemetery, Des Arc, MO, with full military honors provided by the United States Navy. Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
