Thomas “Tom” W. Beezley, 93, of Patterson, MO, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Tom was born May 27, 1930, at St. Louis, Missouri, son of Thomas and Mary (Weberry) Beezley.
At an early age, Tom was saved and made a lifelong commitment to Jesus Christ. His family remembers him as a true ambassador for Christ and a model of faith and prayer. He grew up in the Eldon, MO, area, on the family farm before he met the love of his life Darlene E. Layton. They married on May 27, 1950, and she became a true companion for Tom. To this union three children were born. Darlene passed away June 2, 2014. Tom having only a short formal education, learned to sell and service Paymaster check fraud protection systems. He was good with people and succeeded with them for over fifty years, traveling southeast Missouri and northeast Arkansas. After retirement he found a second career with his greenhouse business Whispering Pines in Patterson. He was proud of this accomplishment. He was a loving, husband, father, grandfather, great-grand father and brother. He was witty and had a great sense of humor. Tom attended and was a member of New Liberty Jacktown General Baptist Church in Silva. He also attended Rings Creek General Baptist, Patterson, Midland Street Church in Poplar Bluff, and Grace Assembly of God Church in Greenville.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by brother, John Beezley and sister Rose Smothers
Tom is survived by his loving children: Danny “Dan” Beezley and wife Sandy of Patterson, Robin Casey and husband Bro. Alan of Piedmont, Ronda Sue Walker of Marble Hill, MO; grandchildren: Christopher Beezley and wife Meagon, Emily Beezley, Veronica Jo Brassfield, Dan Casey and wife Wendy, Stephanie Cowell and husband Noal, Crystal Walker; great-grandchildren: Grace Beezley, Faith Beezley, Layne Kelly, Mackenzie Casey, Alyvia Casey, Mason Feller, Kendall Brassfield, Caylyn, and Arianna Cowell and one great-great grandchild on the way.
Visitation was held at 5:00 pm, Monday, February 12, 2024, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service was held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, February 13, 2024, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Bro. Jim Levart and Bro. Alan Casey ministered to the family. Chris Beezley, Bobby Ward, Blake Middleton, Danny Casey, Brent Wlodarcik, Noal Cowell served as pallbearers.
