Thomas E Brown

Thomas E Brown, 72, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born in Leeper, MO, June 15, 1947, to parents William A and Ora J. (Clyburn) Brown. Thomas was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a graduate of Clearwater School District. On April fool’s day, he met the love of his life, Trula Hinkle, at Clearwater High School. They were married June 17, 1967, and to this union two children were born. Thomas enjoyed raising beagles, reading, and watching westerns. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed hunting rabbit, turkey, deer, and elk. He enjoyed traveling to Colorado to hunt. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family, hunting with his brothers, drinking coffee at the coffee shop, and hosting fish fry’s. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters: Inez Parks, Mary McFadden, Betty Smith, Lillie Plowman, Donna Johnson, and grandson Matthew Arl. Thomas is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Trula Brown of fifty-two years, daughters: Carolyn Arl and husband David, and Emily Misel and husband Jeff; grandchildren: Benjamin Arl, Madison Arl, Paula (Liza) McRoy and husband Chase, and Lillian Misel; brothers: Richard Brown, Gene and Leann Brown of Ellsinore, Arden and Barb Brown of Lonedell, MO, Roger Brown of Ironton, MO; sisters: Maggie Thorsland of Mill Spring, Pamela and Robert Hanners of Dittmer, MO. Thomas’ memory will be cherished by his family and friends. Visitation was from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 2:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Bro. Claude Fields ministered to the family. Benjamin Arl, David Arl, Chase McRoy, Jeff Misel, Paula McRoy, Madison Arl, Gary Moore, and Tim Hicks served as pallbearers. Richard Brown, Robert Hanners, Arden Brown, and Eugene Brown served as honorary pallbearers. Burial was in Carson Hill Cemetery, Mill Spring, MO.
