Timothy "Tim" Scott James, 40, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born in St. Louis, MO, July 20, 1985, to Kevin James and Christine Carol (Barnes) Ross.
Tim was a devoted son, cherished grandson, proud father, loving brother, and loyal friend. He past attended Clearwater High School and was of the Christian faith. Tim had a deep love for the outdoors and found peace in nature. Whether it was fishing, spending time at the river, or prospecting with Randy, Tim felt most at home under the open sky. He was also passionate about cars — working on them, racing them, or just talking shop. Yet, above all, Tim's greatest joy in life was his family. He was especially proud of his children and was looking forward with excitement and love to the arrival of his first grandchild. He had such a big heart and a love for his children like never seen before. He loved Big! Known for his big heart and straightforward nature, Tim left a lasting impression on everyone he met — you always knew where you stood with him.
Tim is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother: Diane James; and brother: Gary James. In addition to parents,
Tim is survived by his paternal grandfather, Raymond James and wife Sue of Cadet; maternal grandparents: Margaret and Melvin Nonn of Piedmont; children: Timothy James Jr. and companion Josie of Piedmont, Nevaeh James of Potosi; stepfather: Randy Ross; stepmother: Angela James; brother: Kevin James Jr. of Piedmont; sisters: Crystal Watkins and husband Carl of Piedmont, Dawnita Bryant of Piedmont; nephews: Brandon, and Jase; nieces Madi, Alexis, and Bryanna; many cousins, and a host of close friends.
