Timothy Leuckel Obituary

Timothy Allen Leuckel, 67, of Van Buren, MO, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Clarks Mountain Nursing Center, Piedmont. He was born on February 15, 1958, in Poplar Bluff, MO, to parents Phillip Joseph Leuckel and Wanda Mae (Derrington) Bowen.

Timothy was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend. He dedicated much of his career to Information Technology and earned his associate degree in the field. A proud Marine, Timothy served his country with honor in the United States Marine Corp. attaining the rank of Corporal.

Known for his warm and caring nature, Timothy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including fishing, spending time on Current River, and listening to music, especially the soothing tunes of James Taylor while sitting on his porch. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching all kinds of games, as well as enjoying his favorite movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, which he would watch repeatedly.

Timothy was a 1976 graduate of Cape Central High School and kept in close touch with many of his lifelong friends. His bond with his beloved dog, Blue, was special and meaningful, and his life revolved around the companionship and joy that Blue brought him.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Timothy is survived by children, Anthony Leuckel of Florida and Anatasia Leuckel of Honduras; brother, Chris Leuckel of Jefferson City; sister, Kathryn Leuckel of Jefferson City; several nieces, nephews, many friends and his best friend and companion, Blue, who will miss him dearly.

Timothy will be remembered for his loving heart, his devotion to his family, and the friendships he nurtured over the years. His presence in the lives of those who knew him will be greatly missed.

A graveside service was held at 3:00 pm, Friday, February 28, 2025, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Bloomfield, MO, with full military honors provided by the United States Marine Corp. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
