Toinette "Toni" Denise (Evans) Wilson

Toinette Denise "Toni" Wilson, 47, of Fenton, MO, formerly of Wayne County, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Mercy South, St. Louis, MO. Toni was born October 13, 1975, at Poplar Bluff, MO, to parents Tommy and Kathy (Crowley) Evans.

Toni was a loving wife, protective mother, awesome daughter, blessed sister, aunt, and friend. She was united in marriage to Terry Wilson on December 10, 2002, and they were blessed with one child. Toni was a 1994 graduate of Clearwater High School, Piedmont. She earned her bachelor’s degree while attending Central Methodist University. Toni was previously a general manager at Panera Bread in Farmington and Fenton, and lastly at StarBucks in Wildwood. She was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. She was baptized in 1984 at Patterson Baptist Church. Toni was very close to her brothers, Scott and Jesse. She made many good friendships throughout her employment. She fought very hard to stay with her family right up to the end of her illness.  

She is survived by her husband of twenty years; son: Parker Wilson of Fenton; stepson: Jeremy Wilson of Piedmont; stepdaughter: Erin Shoemaker and husband Matt of Kansas City; her parents: Tommy Evans and companion Donna of Patterson, Kathy Gossett and husband Mike of Van Buren; brothers: Scott Evans and wife Stacy of Piedmont, Jesse Evans and wife Alicia of Poplar Bluff; and her special companion Marley, her dog; nieces, nephews, and friends. Toni’s amazing zest for life will be greatly missed by those that loved her.

Visitation for Toni will be held Sunday, September 3, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, MO. Services will follow at funeral home chapel at 3:00 pm.
