Virginia Luke Obituary

Virginia "Annette" Luke, 66, of Williamsville, MO, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Annette was born in Poplar Bluff, MO, April 15, 1960, to Jerry Lee and Evelyn Louise (Davis) Hill.

Annette was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness and caring nature touched the lives of many. She married the love of her life, Ricky "Rick" Luke August 1, 1978. Together they shared many adventures, created countless cherished memories, and were blessed with five children. Annette dedicated much of her life to caring for others, both at home and through her work as a caretaker in a group home, where her compassion and gentle spirit made a lasting impact.

Annette loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping, and swimming. She found joy in gardening and expressing her creativity through various crafts. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-four years; son, Richard Luke; brothers, Jerry Hill Jr., Joe Hill, and Brian Hill.

Annette is survived by her children, Lawrence Luke and wife Gina of Williamsville, Curtis Luke and wife Alex of Germany, Kat Hall of Ellsinore, and Michelle Luke of Williamsville; her cherished grandchildren: Lawren Norton and husband Johnny, Logan Luke, Hunter Luke, Tayla Luke, Tristyn Luke, Katlyn Hall, Mackenzie Barks and husband Dillion, Haile Christian and husband Cole, Joseph Hall, Timothy Gilliam, Willow Luke, Max Luke, and Rosie Luke; her great-grandchildren, Ellisyn Norton, Karter Fox, and Jasper Hall; brother, Roger Hill of Poplar Bluff; sisters, Christina Carter of Union, and Mary Hill of Poplar Bluff, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Annette's loving heart, generous spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family will be remembered always. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of love, compassion, and strength will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Visitation was held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Williamsville Chapel. Memorial service followed at 2:00 pm, also in the Williamsville Chapel.
