Wilbert "Eugene" Croney, 64, of Clubb, Missouri, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024. Born on March 24, 1960, Eugene was the beloved son of Wilbert Lee and Judith Ann (Allen) Croney. He dedicated many years of his life to working at Kerry Ingredients in Greenville until his well-deserved retirement.
Eugene was a devoted Christian who recently found solace in his faith, having received his salvation. He was a man of many talents, known for his savvy mechanics and exceptional carpentry skills. Despite his skills and knowledge, Eugene remained a humble, simple man with a soft heart and a gentle soul, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
He had a fondness for the little pleasures in life, especially Burger King Whoppers, Twix candy bars, and chocolate milkshakes. Above all, his family was his greatest treasure, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: Johnny Croney; sisters: Rebecca "Becky" Tibbs, and Glenda "Ruth" Vaughn.
Eugene is survived by his loving children: Chris Aguilar and wife Rachel of Piedmont; Jonathon Croney and significant other Erica Shikles of Piedmont; and Angela Croney and significant other Michael Oatman of Fredericktown. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Matthew, Amya, and Myles Aguilar, Maria Croney, Parker, Noah, Ensley, and Emory Oatman. He is also survived by his brother: Charles Croney of Poplar Bluff, and sisters: Bonnie Winberry and husband Harold of Fredericktown, and Betty Jo Pickens and husband Todd of Morley; his best friend: Tyler Henson; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Eugene will be deeply missed by those who remember him for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love.
