William “Billy” Lee Tucker Jr., 55, of Van Buren, MO, formerly of Piedmont, MO, passed away at his residence Tuesday, April 1, 2025. He was born in Ironton, MO, April 4, 1969, to William Lee and Mary Jo (Wilcox) Tucker Sr.
Billy was a devoted husband, loving brother, uncle, and friend. He married his soulmate, Leslie Henson, on May 5, 1998, and together they shared a lifetime of memories. Billy treated Leslie with unwavering love and respect, and she was his heart and soul. Their bond was an inspiration to all who knew them.
Billy was a faithful Christian and found comfort and joy in his faith, attending First Assembly of God Church in Van Buren, MO. He had a deep love for Jesus and lived his life with kindness and generosity, always striving to make those around him smile.
An avid lover of history and the outdoors, Billy had a passion for studying historical artifacts and had an enduring fascination with trains. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially fishing and camping. Whether it was spending time on the water or enjoying a quiet day by the lake, Billy cherished every moment in nature.
Billy also loved and cherished his time with Levi, traveling across the United States in the Semi. His humor and joy for life were contagious, and he was known to be the life of the room, always ready to make others laugh with his jokes and lighthearted nature.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother; Charles Tucker.
Billy is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-six years; sisters: Patty Tucker of Poplar Bluff, Tanya Dazey and husband John of Van Buren, Dotty Penrod and husband Pete of Patterson; several nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends.
Billy’s passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew him. His laughter, love, and kind spirit will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Visitation was held at 12:00 noon, Monday, April 7, 2025, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 1:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Dave Trucon ministered to the family. David Brizues, James Tucker, Levi Kelly, Ray Henson, James Penrod, and John Henderson served as pallbearers. Burial was in Mill Spring Cemetery.
