William "Wild Bill" Gearld Hartley

William “Wild Bill” Gerald Hartley, 60, of Wappapello, MO, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born in St. Louis, MO, May 19, 1960, to parents William and MaryJane R. (Slater) Hartley.  

Wild Bill was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was self-employed having many jobs throughout the years making murals, mowing grass for state parks, repairing boats, but was well known for his tattoo artistry. Wild Bill had a sense of humor, always offered good advice, and had unconditional love for his family. He would do anything for anyone to help them. He enjoyed the outdoors and his motorcycles.  

He is preceded in death by his parents.  

Wild Bill is survived by his children: Brandy Hartley, Cynthia Howell and fiancé Andy Walker of Piedmont, Jennifer Hartley of St. Louis, Kathleen Osborne and husband Billy Jr. of Piedmont, Jennifer Robinson and husband Jeremy of Piedmont; grandchildren: Sway and fiance Skyla, Chyanne, Xander, Layla, Jenny, Jessy, Chris, Martin, Aspen; great-grandchildren: Zayne is on the way; ex-wife: Glenes Mae Henderson. Wild Bill will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  

A memorial was held at 4:00 pm, September 26, 2020, at Clearwater Lake Spillway, pavilion S 1, right next to play place. Visitation and dinner followed. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
