Wilma Ritzu Obituary

Wilma Louise Ritzu, 86, of Greenville, MO, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was born December 10, 1939, in Poplar Bluff, MO, to Harry and Elsie Viola (Gregory) Morris Walker.

Wilma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, whose life was centered around her family and the people she cared for so deeply. She married the love of her life, Dave Ritzu, on November 3, 1984, and together they shared their love, partnership, and countless cherished memories. Wilma and Dave worked closely side by side throughout their lives. They owned and operated a business in Texas for several years before returning to Missouri, where they ran Taylor’s Service Station. They also managed the Greenville Campground for many years, welcoming and hosting campers throughout the season and forming lasting friendships along the way.

Wilma had a love for music and especially enjoyed singing. Many who heard her sing found it hard to tell whether it was Wilma or Loretta Lynn singing. Above all else, Wilma’s greatest legacy was her family, of whom she was immensely proud.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter: Cynthia Tipton; brothers: Lloyd, Ira, Gene, and Herbert Morris; sisters: Juanita Morris, Pauline Williams and Hazel Minnich.

Wilma is survived by her loving husband of forty-one years; daughter: Debbie Douchant; grandchildren: Christina Anderson and significant other Eric Henry, Randy Tipton Jr. and wife Jessica, William Tipton and companion Hailey Anderson, Mindy Douchant, and Michael Douchant and wife Dena; great-grandchildren: Reid Jaco, Kaydence Jaco, Kamrynn Douchant, Jett Tipton, Brailey Douchant, Deegan Douchant, Skylar Tipton, Jessica Carpenter, Katerina Tipton, Addisynn Tipton, Analeigh Peach, Abbigale West, Gage Tipton, Timothy Pruett, Isabella Peach, Trisha Tipton, Isaac Tipton, and Isaiah Tipton; great-great grandchild: Judith Ross; her faithful companion, Rowdy, her beloved dog, as well as many nieces, nephews, and a community of friends.

Wilma’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will deeply miss her love, laughter, and unwavering presence.
